My definition of technology integration is using Technology in the classroom to support and enhance instruction and learning.
my definition has changed somewhat since the beginning of the class. when I first began I thought of technology as an appendage, now I think of it more as an integral piece of the whole machine the classroom.
1 of the things that I have really been struck with is the idea of getting the technology into the hands of the students to create. there are great tools to help teaching and these should certainly be utilized, but we also need to concentrate on getting technology into the students hands.
now technology integration means integrating it into the students' day for the products that they produce.
sometimes the field experience got a little depressing for me. at times I found it shocking how little teachers use the technology that they had available. I also don't like how little professional development we offer our teachers in the use of technology tools for instruction. we're still fighting the idea in some ways that technology means that students are just playing games. administrators will need solid proof and data to show that these are real tools which helps students learn.

I'm going to critique my own lesson plan of creating the interplanet janet puppet show. this was a great project for second grade. it was very successful. I let them do a practice run first with the puppets already available in the program. then they got pictures of each planet from google images to use in their puppet show. each group was responsible for singing the song in time with recording their puppet show on the screen. the hardest part seemed to be the teamwork aspect. there was some arguing at the beginning and a little whining but that got worked out. I will definitely be doing this project again with this grade. was also a great way to assess how much they learned of the song and how much they remembered. I was impressed with the results.

Super kids has some good information. I like how they break it into price, system requirements, etc. The systems and software review don't seem to e keeping up with the times. There is nothing about mobile devices or tablets.
The evalutech link does not work.
